My Story
I've been teaching jewellery making and art workshops in Lancashire for years, and honestly, there's nothing quite like the moment when a student realizes they've just created something beautiful with their own hands.
It all started with my love for working with silver and mixed media. What began as a personal passion quickly grew into something bigger when friends started asking, "Can you teach me how to do that?" Now, I've taught hundreds of students at Garstang Arts Centre and venues across Lancashire, guiding them through everything from silver clay pendants to botanical resin jewellery and gelli plate printing.
Why I Love Teaching
The best part of my job? Watching someone who walked in saying "I'm not creative" leave two hours later wearing a piece of jewellery they made themselves. That transformation never gets old. I design my workshops so you actually take something home the same night – whether it's a resin pendant with flowers from my own garden, a felted local landscape scene, or silver earrings you've crafted and finished yourself.
What Makes My Workshops Different
I believe in hands-on learning with real results. No unfinished projects sitting in drawers – you'll leave with completed pieces you're proud to wear or gift. My botanical resin workshops use flowers I've grown myself, adding that personal, artisan touch. And my multi-session courses give you time to really master techniques like watercolour, acrylics, or mixed media at your own pace.
Over the years, I've refined my teaching approach to make even complex techniques like silver clay accessible to complete beginners.
